A light and entertaining farce. It’s charm lies in its excellent cast and its refusal to take itself seriously. The only time I FF’d was when the farcical elements piled on a little too thickly.

I enjoyed this. I know next to nothing about the crusades, so I can’t comment on the film’s historical accuracy, but the leper king of Jerusalem, the Knights Templar, the wise and savvy Saladin all made for a fascinating mix. Some excellent action. I recall some reviews being unkind to Orlando Bloom, but he carried me along. I was engaged.

I don’t like boxing, but I liked this film. Overlong, but its depiction of life in the Great Depression is haunting. I FF’d through the last fight because I’d seen enough boxing for the night.

A totally stupid, improbable, impossible, silly, stupid (did I say that already?) movie. And yet … engaging.
FF= 0.5 (As I’ve said before, I can be engaged by crap.)
Stuuuuupid but I kept watching.
